What they say about us

“A three day celebration of music and motorcycling, the Rock And Bike Fest has now established itself as an essential part of many peoples biking calenders”   “Over the past four years the Rock And Bike Fest has seemed intent upon a grand tour of stately homes across Derbyshire. In 2010 the event the was held at Draycott House before moving to the 18th century pile, Stamford Hall last year. For 2012 The Rock And Bike Fest moved to Elvaston Castle, a gothic revival masterpiece built in the early 1800’s….”  “The place started rocking Thursday night with the proceedings opened by Almost Easy who set the bar high for almost everyone who followed them onto the stage. It would be impossible to do all the bands justice… But the acts ranged from the laid back bluegrass/folk guitar work of Clive Eastwood to the sheer oddness of the Black Pig Border Morris. A number of tribute acts payed hommage…..”

Back Street Heroes

John Milton & Emma

“Over 20 bands including The Quireboys, The Sweet, Toyah and X-UFO, plus tributes to Black Sabbatch, Prodigy, Guns & Roses, AC/DC, The Killers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Levellers, Maegadeth and Rammstein, to name but a few. Toyah joined The Sweet for the finale ‘Ballroom Blitz’ after which she then shaved Vicki Henshaw’s head to raise money for the Macmillan Trust and the childrens cancer ward at the QMC….”   ” With such a marvelous variety of bikes and trikes on show it took a while to walk around all the entries, and the lovely Toyah handed over all the prizes to the winners” “There were a mixture of trade stalls and the catering units were selling freshly cooked food. Real ales were on sale at pub prices and the Shimmy Dancers and Black Pig Border Morries dancers put on their festival shows and encouraged folk of all ages to take part….”

100% Biker

Cowboy

“The Rock and Bike Festival returned to Carnfield Hall to unleash three days of Rock music onto the adoring fans. Rock and Bike Festival prides itself on being a family friendly festival and goes out of its way to ensure that the very young to the very old are catered for with a variety of activities throughout the site to keep the little ones entertained.”   “This year the Rock and Bike Festival was celebrating its 13th year as a festival. hence why it was labelled “Best of a dozen years”, the idea being that they invited some of the acts that stood out over the years back for this year. The Quireboys and John Coghlans Quo and Girlschool were all given headlining duties. One of the good things about this festival is that they aren’t afraid to give bands a try and one such band was The SoapGirls, a politically driven, high octane, controversial L7 type band.”
